Synopsis

Empire takes a look at part of the construction team that built part of our nation’s identity, The Empire State Building. Their life experiences, personalities, and heritage comes to the foreground as they consider their future and the future of our nation.

The Playwright

Bridget Mundy is an emerging playwright residing in Boone, NC. She recently graduated from Appalachian State University with a BA in Theatre. Works include THE ADVENTURES OF THE SHY SHUFFLER AND THE BASHFUL BADASS, performed by In/Visible Theatre Company in Boone, NC; MISCAST, performed by the Appalachian Musical Theatre Club; SHOW, performed in the 24 Hour Arts Festival at Appalachian State; and PHYLLIS KUGLER EAT YOUR HEART OUT, set to be performed by the Women’s Inclusive Theatre Troupe at App State in Spring 2017.
